LILEE Systems, a wireless and wired communications company providing communication components and systems has an immediate opening as listed. We are looking for a talented Sales System Engineer with previous experience in the communication and networking industry to join our team. Responsibilities:
- Responsible for replying to customer RFQ/RFP. Working with internal team members to deliver high quality RFP/RFQ replies to win the sales orders. The compensation package will be partially tied to the sales order won per quarter
- Capable of modifying the blueprint developed by the engineering team into customer’s usage model
- Enjoy learning about customer problems and proactively re-produce the issue in the internal lab
- Enthusiastic in finding root cause and persistent in answering customer’s engineering problems
- Assist in designing and implementing complete solutions for customers
- Interface with customers to create proof of concept network using command line interface (CLI)
- Write and develop detailed test plans and cases based on customer deployment requirements and functional specifications
- Design, execute and automate test cases in Enterprise networking with focus in End-to-End solution coverage
- Assist customers and technical support engineers with basic pre or post-sales issues, assisting and engaging in lab replication, and escalation as necessary
- Provide onsite support for large scale network deployments, major events, and network troubleshooting
- Be the link between our engineering and Sales/Marketing team
- Work with engineering team to assist with product planning and/or enhancements
- Collect input and feedback from customers and provide information to appropriate team
- Work with the sales/marketing team in demonstrating the products so that the team members can better market the company products
- Design and provide customized training to customers and partners
- Design and setup equipment for customer demonstration showcasing different technologies
- Regular interface with cross-functional team members
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or engineering
- Prior experience in similar job function as a sales engineer or system engineer for more than 3 years is a must. Having career in Research and Development (R&D) is a plus
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Engineering discipline specifically in network design, software, and system validation in Enterprise networking products experience is required
- Enterprise networking test coverage and qualification including complete knowledge of router, switch, PC (client/server), and security solution
- Experience with Layer 2 LAN switching, Layer 3 Routing protocols, TCP/IP and QoS
- Familiar with Linux OS and Operations with experiences in shell scripting and bash programming
- Experience with automating using TCL/Expect scripting language or Web Tools
- Experience with netstats, ifconfig, and socket debugging in Linux
- Candidate with certification as REDHAT engineer or CCNA or CCIE is preferred
- Ability to deliver successful solution validation under aggressive schedules
- Had prior experience in interviewing with customer’s IT team to create drawing to describe customer’s corporate network. Drawing needs to include model/SKU of switch, wiring topology, firewall policy, ACL etc.
- Familiar with network protocol layers and network analyzers such as Wire-Shark packet sniffer
- Experience with at least one of the networking tools: VeriWave, Chariot/Traffic Generator, Wi-Fi Clients emulator, IPERF
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and set priorities
- Ability to travel (US & Canada only) up to 40% of the time
